Welcome to my blog about my exchange adventure in Brazil!
After many months of waiting and waiting, my fellow district 6220 outbounds and I finally were told our country assignments! The night of Saturday, January 26th was the night that I found out I will be an exchange student in Brazil for 11 months! After being asked where I am going countless times, I finally have an answer other than, "I don't know yet." It feels so great to find out!
Now, instead of daydreaming about my country assignment, I will spend my days dreaming about the Brazilian culture, Portuguese language and all other experiences I am going to have! Depending on the date I leave Brazil, I may even be there for the World Cup! There are so many things that I am looking forward to. I can't wait to speak a new language, experience a new culture and meet so many amazing people during my exchange trip. This is an experience of a lifetime, and I am so thankful to have this opportunity to experience something as amazing as this.
I can't wait to go to the February conference and talk with all of my new outbound and inbound friends from Rotary. Not only will I be traveling to Brazil with 5 other outbounds, but I am so grateful to know each and every one of the outbounds. They are truly amazing and I know I will always have people who can relate with the stresses of learning a new language that I am experiencing. It's a good stress, though.
Until next time,
Levi
